Nordkette Singletrail
The Nordkette singletrail is one of Europe’s steepest, longest and
most difficult mountain bike descents.
It is technically demanding, with various segments of different challenges and speeds. Due to these difficulties, the rules of conduct must absolutely be respected. Special obstacles or segments marked !!! should be inspected
before riding them for the first time, in order to correctly estimate the
required riding skills to master the obstacle/segment and when necessary
avoid or circle around these passages.
Bikes are permitted into the cable car only in clean condition, cleaning facilities are to be found at the end of the trail. The trail starts about 200 meters beneath the Seegrube mountain station. To get to the starting point,
please stick to the gravel road.
Built in 2008 the „little brother“ of the Nordkette singletrail, the
„Hungerburg trail“, extends the flow and the pleasure of riding the
trails with 350 more altitude to get the riders directly down to the
centre of the city. It is already open. Afterwards you have ridden a incomparable singletrail.
The Nordketten cable car transports riders and bikes again up to
the Seegrube where riding the mountainbike routes can start anew.
