Hafelekarspitze
Summit Walk to the highest point in the Nordkette and experience the summit atmosphere without any long ascents. Walking time from Hafelekar station: approx. 10-15 min
The Geierwally hut
The Nordkette has been used as the backdrop for many worldfamous productions such as "Sissi die Kaiserin", "Berge in Flammen" with Luis Trenker and "Geierwally". The Geierwally hut remained almost in its original condition and is only a few minutes away from the Hafelekar station.
Goethe path – wonderful panoramas
From the Hafelekar mountain station along a good altitude track in Eastern direction through the Hafelekarspitze(2,334 m) to the Mandlscharte (2,314 m) and through partly secured areas to the idyllic Pfeis alpine hut (1.922 m).
Walking time: round-trip approx. 4.5 h, Altitude difference: approx. 500 m
Panoramic Hiking Trail Seegrube
The new hiking trail starts directly at the terrace at Seegrube. Passing the entrance of the “Frau Hitt Lift” the trail leads in shallow serpentines up to the monument of the “Ski and Bergsportverein Hötting”. Take a walk on the well-developed trail and enjoy the view down to Innsbruck. In just about 25 minutes you are back at the terrace at Seegrube.
The alpine pasture hike
Wander through the most beautiful meadows of the Nordkette and enjoy the peace and nature, together with home-made delicacies. All meadows have catering facilities during the summer months.
